Rob Bickhart is the Founder and Managing Partner of The Capitol Resource Group, Inc. CRG is a performance driven government, public affairs and fund-raising consulting group with access to key decision makers and leaders in the public and private sector. Bickhart is a hands-on leader with extensive experience in developing and executing strategic initiatives at every level of government in the mid-Atlantic region including state governments in Harrisburg, PA; Trenton, NJ; Albany, NY and federal representation in Washington, DC. His in-depth policymaking, operational, sales and managerial experience provide CRG with a varied client base representing major education, energy, transportation, manufacturing, not-for-profit entities and national political committees. In his capacity as CEO, Bickhart is responsible for profit and loss, budget reconciliation, human resources, sales, client relationships and new business development.
The Capitol Resource Group, founded in 2000, is a public and government affairs consortium. CRG specializes in new business development, corporate advocacy, government relations, and campaign finance. Our priorities are before the legislative and executive branches of the federal government, state governments and authorities of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland and Delaware and various municipal governments in those jurisdictions including Philadelphia. CRG offers over 40 years of expertise and achievement.
Specialty areas of the firm include defense and maritime legislative advocacy and strategies; federal and state health care authorization and appropriation functions, energy and natural resource development; inter-modal surface transportation legislative support, campaign funding strategies and the federal appropriation and budget processes.
Since 2000, CRG has represented Philadelphia and regionally based not-for-profit entities; corporations and their communication and government affairs needs. Representatives of The Capitol Resource Group have consulted on several political campaigns for US Senate, US House, PA legislative and campaigns for the United States Presidency. CRG recently coordinated with the Marcellus Shale Coalition to develop a federal and state legislative strategy for the Pittsburgh based coalition and has worked with McKinsey & Co. to build strategic business and community alliances in the mid-Atlantic region of the United States.
In addition, CRG was instrumental in securing funding for the September, 2015 Papal Visit to Philadelphia and worked directly with the Philadelphia based finance committee for the US visit and the Vatican.
CRG possesses extensive professional partnerships in both the public and private arenas and is currently engaged in several unique projects; one, representing a domestic infrastructure management firm with specialties in highway, road and rail transit maintenance, a lighting and post manufacturing facility whose specialty is maintaining the classic lighting features on the grounds of the US Capitol in Washington, DC, Central Park, New York, and the historic grounds of Independence Park, Philadelphia. In addition, CRG is helping pull together a massive fund-raising effort to support the work of the Philadelphia School Partnership, a not-for-profit group working to raise the standards of Philadelphia’s most desperate schools.
